A/W Collection 2011: Matthew Williamson

Patchwork was a big feature
I absolutely adore Matthew Williamson. His colourful bohemian clothes can do no wrong in my eyes, and in this A/W collection, he does not fail to impress! Beautiful Aztec prints (Aztec prints are apparently going to be big this season!). There were also bright colours, which will definitely brighten up even the gloomiest of days, such as the luminous orange featured on trousers as well as a cute little shift dress with embellishments. Shaggy Mongolian wool gilets  made with a palette from grey and black to camel and nude. There were even brightly printed dresses that were contrasted with black gilets- the texture and colours just worked wonderfully against each other. As was featured in many collections, there were sheer blouses as well as tweed, but Williamson did it with his usual gorgeous bohemian flair ;)

Pink and orange was a
 major combination

There's a tiger print
feel to this

I love the detail on this dress

Love the orange trousers
 and chunky wedges

Another stunning
 embellishment

Aztec prints are a big trend this season

I love the contrast of
 the print with the gilet

The grey and blue
work well together

There were even splashes
 of colour on the coats

I love the black and blue fur

Possibly my most favourite
dress in the entire collection

This dress is very summery for an
A/W collection but it's stunning!

Dress to Impress

Find of the Day!

Wishbone Necklace- Gold 24kt
$31.50 or £19.69

My finds of the day are another little indie designer, with some cute jewellery designs. This is for people that like unusual stuff, but unlike the punk-style of Steampunk, this jewellery is more dainty and lowkey, but at the same time, it's very kitsch. I found Freshy Fig on http://www.etsy.com/, and I am falling in love with this website, as it has a range of different designers, and is fast becoming one-stop web shop for jewellery.  Unlike Steampunk, which is much more modern, Freshy Fig is very vintage. But enough writing, I'll let the pictures do the talking ;)

Style Icon of the Day: Blake Lively

She may have had her big break on Gossip Girl, a show known just as much for its fashion as it is for its drama, but Blake Lively is making fashion waves all by herself. The star has transformed herself into one of the biggest style icons, with a sexy, sophisticated style showing off her stunning figure in an array of figure-hugging dresses with eye-popping colours. Whether on the red carpet or just out and about, Blake Lively has got it going on!

This may not just be my most favourite outfit from Blake, but also one of my most favourite outfits ever! This print is so stunning and makes her stand out, the print is also flattering as well as the cut of the dress. However, such an unusual dress makes it hard to find a copy but I've done my best!

Find of the Day: Steampunk Jewellery

I am so excited to write this post! I was searching through everything and was about to give up finding anything worth posting to you lovely readers when I came across Steampunk. The jewellery is made out of metal and Swarovski crystals, and it is very neo-victorian and gothic. Their jewellery is so unique, there's no way you will find this kind of stuff in your local Topshop, so if you want an interesting touch to your outfit, try Steampunk! I can't wait until I have enough money to spend, because there is definitely more than one item I have my eye on!
